Apple Crunch
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Whole wheat flour sifted
- 1 cup Rolled oats
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 6-8 Apples peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/4 cup Raw sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Place flour, oats, sugar and baking soda in a large bowl. With two knives or a pastry blender, work the butter into the dry ingredients until pieces are uniform and quite small.
- Mix apples, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice and place in bottom of a 9” square pan (9x12“ is fine).
- Cover with oats mixture. Bake 50 minutes or until done. Serve warm with vanilla bean ice cream!
