Apple Crumble

Ingredients

  • 5 Large Apples green
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 100 grams butter COLD
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180c. Grease deep 1.5 litre baking dish.
  2. Peel, core & quarter apples. Cook apples, sugar & water in large saucepan over low heat, covered about 10 minutes. Drain.
  3. Crumble - rub butter into flour stir in other ingredients (sugar and cinnamon)
  4. Place apples into dish, sprinkle over crumble mixture.
  5. Bake for approx 25 minutes.
