Josh’s Apple Crumble
Ingredients
- 2 cooking apples small to medium
- 2 15-ml spoonfuls granulated sugar
- 100 grams (about 3/4 c) plain flour
- 50 grams (3 1/2 T) butter
- 50 grams (1/4 c) granulated sugar
- 2 1/2 ml (1/2 t) Ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to gas mark 4 (350 degrees F).
- Wash, core and slice apples. Place half the apples in a baking dish, sprinkle over with the 15 - 30 (1 - 2 tablespoons) sugar. Place other half of apples on top.
- Sieve flour and cinnamon into a bowl.
- Rub in butter until it resembles fine bread crumbs.
- Stir in 50 gm sugar.
- Sprinkle over the apples.
- Bake until topping is pale brown. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
